Reverse osmosis is a process in which a larger pressure is applied to the solution side as to overcome the osmotic pressure. This pushes the pure solvent under pressure out of the solution through the semi-permeable membrane. By the table if pressure applied in part I of the vessel than pure water can be obtain by part II of vessel through semi-permeable membrane.
