The pancreatic islets constitute 1 to 2% of the pancreas volume and receive 10-15% of its blood flow. d) Brunner's glands (or duodenal glands) are compound tubular submucosal glands found in that portion of the duodenum which is above the hepatopancreatic sphincter (a.k.a. sphincter of Oddi).
