Options
- ADiploblastic, Bilaterally symmetrical Coelomates
- BTriploblastic, Bilaterally symmetrical, Pseudocoelomates
- CTriploblastic, Bilaterally symmetrical, Coelomates
- DDiploblastic Radially symmetrical, Acoelomates
Correct answer
C. Triploblastic, Bilaterally symmetrical, Coelomates
Step-by-step solution
Molluscs are triploblastic, bilaterally symmetrical coelomates. In some Molluscs like Pila , due to torsion during growth, the adults become asymmetrical. The coelom is greatly reduced. It is restricted to the pericardial cavity (space around the heart), and to small spaces within kidneys and gonads (testes and ovaries). Spaces amongst the viscera (soft organs) contain blood and form hemocoel. They have triploblastic body wall with outer ectoderm middle mesoderm and inner endoderm.
