Bacteria may reproduce by

Options

  1. Abinary fission
  2. Bproducing spores
  3. Ca sort of sexual reproduction by adopting a primitive type of DNA transfer from one bacterium to the other.
  4. Dall of these

Correct answer

D. all of these

Step-by-step solution

The single-celled bacterium reproduces by binary fission where it divides into two identical daughter cells. This process of fission begins when the DNA of the bacteria replicates and divides into two. When the conditions are not suitable, some bacteria produce spores and undergo asexual reproduction. These unicellular organisms also reproduce by transferring DNA which can be either floating in the environment (transformation), when the DNA moves from one bacterium to another through a conjugation tube between them
