Cell placed in hypertonic solution is shown by

The figure given in option (a) depicts that the movement of water is outside the cell and the cell is plasmolysed, i.e. the cell membrane has got shrinked, these observations signify that the cell is placed in hypertonic solution. The balanced inflow and outflow of water in the cell shown in option (b) indicates that it is placed in isotonic solution. In option (c), there is net inflow of water inside the cell and the cell is turgid, thus it can be said that the cell is placed in hypotonic solution.
