BaO2+CO2+H2O⟶BaCO3↓+H2O2\mathrm{BaO}_2+\mathrm{CO}_2+\mathrm{H}_2 \mathrm{O} \longrightarrow \mathrm{BaCO}_3 \downarrow+\mathrm{H}_2 \mathrm{O}_2 H2O2\mathrm{H}_2 \mathrm{O}_2 can also be prepared by reaction of H2SO4\mathrm{H}_2 \mathrm{SO}_4 with hydrated barium peroxide.
