The ribosome is a large complex molecule that is found in prokaryote and eukaryote. They serve as the primary site for protein synthesis. In prokaryote, it is found in the free form in cytoplasm and in a eukaryote, it is found attached to the outer membrane of the endoplasmic reticulum.
