Spore mother cell is diploid and spore is haploid. If spore has 5 chromosomes and 5pg DNA than the spore mother cell has 10 chromosomes and 10pg DNA in the G 1 phase. Since DNA replication occurs during S phase but chromosome number remains unchanged. Thus chromosome in the G 2 phase is 10 and the quantity of DNA is 20 pg.
