Step-by-step solution

Maltose is a disaccharide made up of two alpha glucose units joined by glycosidic bond. One glucose molecule produces 2 pyruvate which undergoes two round of TCA cycle to get completely oxidised. Hence Two glucose molecules will require four rounds of TCA cycle.
