PCR (Polymerase Chain Reaction) is used for the early diagnosis of diseases by amplifying the nucleic acids of pathogens even when their concentration is very low. ELISA (Enzyme Linked Immuno-Sorbent Assay) is based on the principle of antigen-antibody interaction to detect infections.
