SS is the midpoint of QQ and RR.

∴S≡(132,1)∴ S ≡ \left(\dfrac{13}{2}, 1\right)

∴∴Slope of PS=2−12−132=1(−92)=−29PS = \dfrac{2 - 1}{2 - \dfrac{13}{2}} = \dfrac{1}{\left(\dfrac{- 9}{2}\right)} = \dfrac{- 2}{9}

Therefore, the equation of the line passing through (1,−1)( 1, - 1 ) and parallel toPSPS is

y+1=−29(x−1)y +1= \dfrac{- 2}{9}\left(x - 1\right)

∴9y+9=−2x+2∴ 9 y +9=-2 x +2
