Polar compounds are soluble in polar solvents and non-polar compounds are soluble in non-polar solvents. i.e. Like dissolves like. (i) $\mathrm{C}_5 \mathrm{H}_{12}$ (non-polar) + Alcohol (polar) (ii) Alcohol (polar) + Amine (polar) (iii) $\mathrm{H}_2 \mathrm{O}$ (polar) + Alcohol (polar) (iv) Alkane (non-polar) + Alkane (non-polar) Thus, $\mathrm{C}_5 \mathrm{H}_{12}$ and alcohol mixture is immiscible.
