Given integral is

I = ∫ \dfrac{{\left(\sqrt{x} - 1\right)}^{3}}{{\left(\sqrt{x} - 1\right)}^{2}}dx

= ∫ \left(\sqrt{x} - 1\right)dx

= \dfrac{2}{3}x^{\dfrac{3}{2}} - x + C

∴ f\left(x\right) = \dfrac{2}{3}x^{\dfrac{3}{2}} - x

⇒ f\left(9\right) = 18 - 9 = 9
