A DNA molecule consists of two long polynucleotide chains composed of four types of nucleotide subunits. Each of these chains is known as a DNA chain, or a DNA strand. Hydrogen bonds between the base portions of the nucleotides hold the two chains together. Adenine base pairs with thymine with 2 hydrogen bonds and cytosine base pairs with guanine with 3 hydrogen bonds. As we know that in DNA molecule , adenine (A) always pairs with thymine (T) and cytosine (C) always pairs with guanine (G).
