Step-by-step solution

Cyclohexylmagnesium bromide is a Grignard reagent, which acts as a strong base. Cyclohexylamine contains active (acidic) hydrogen atoms attached to the nitrogen atom. When a Grignard reagent reacts with a compound containing an active hydrogen, an acid-base reaction occurs preferentially. The Grignard reagent abstracts a proton to form the corresponding alkane. C₆H₁₁MgBr + C₆H₁₁NH₂ C₆H₁₂ + C₆H₁₁NHMgBr Thus, cyclohexane ( C₆H₁₂ ) is formed as one of the products.
