Statement I : O2,Cu2+{O}_{2}, {Cu}^{2 +} and Fe3+{Fe}^{3 +} are weakly attracted by magnetic field and are magnetized in the same direction as magnetic field.

O2,Cu2+{O}_{2}, {Cu}^{2 +} and Fe3+{Fe}^{3 +} all have unpaired electrons so, they are paramagnetic,

O2hastwounpairedelectronsaccordingtoMOT,Cu2+hasd9configurationso,oneunpairedelectron.Fe+3hasd5configurationso,5unpairedelectrons.{O}_{2}hastwounpairedelectronsaccordingtoMOT, {Cu}^{2 +}has{d}^{9}configurationso, oneunpairedelectron . {Fe}^{+ 3}has{d}^{5}configurationso, 5unpairedelectrons .

∴∴ Weakly attracted by magnetic field.

NaClNaCl and H2O{H}_{2}O does not have any unpaired electrons so they are diamagnetic,

∴∴ Weakly repelled by magnetic field.
