Step-by-step solution

Interhalogen compounds are more reactive than halogens (except fluorine). This is because X – X ′ bond in interhalogens is weaker than X – X bond in halogens except F – F bond. All the interhalogen compounds undergo hydrolysis readily. ICl is more reactive than I 2 because I   –   Cl bond is weaker than I   –   I bond.
